A magical mix of storytelling, fire, and outdoor fun
As part of the Oswestry Library Summer Reading Challenge, bring your child along for a memorable outdoor experience in the Willow Garden — where sparks fly, marshmallows toast, and stories come alive around the fire.
This 45-minute session is designed to ignite imaginations and build confidence in nature, with a warm welcome for both children and their grown-ups.
What’s Included
Campfire safety and marshmallow toasting
A warming drink
Nature-based games and interactive activities
Story time around the campfire
Who’s It For?
Children aged 4 to 11 years old
Each session is grouped by age to ensure the stories and activities are just right.
When & Where?
Monday 4th August
📍 Willow Garden, Oswestry Library (the outdoor garden space across the road from the library)
Session times:
9:30 – Ages 4–5
10:30 – Ages 6–8
11:30 – Ages 9–11
Each session lasts around 45 minutes.
How Much?
£4 per child per session
Includes all activities, materials, and snacks.
Important Info
Parents or carers must stay for the duration of the session.
You’re welcome to join in or simply relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
Please arrive 5 minutes early to allow time for signing in.
