What Happens
Sessions begin with clear expectations and safety guidance, followed by hands-on woodland activities tailored to the age group.

A typical session may include:
Fire lighting using fire steels and natural tinders
Shelter building using tarps, cordage, and natural materials
Safe tool use (including knives and saws, where appropriate)
Primitive cooking over an open fire
Group challenges that encourage communication and teamwork
Clear safety briefings are given, and pupils are supported throughout by experienced instructors.

Are sessions linked to the curriculum?
Sessions can support a range of curriculum and enrichment objectives and are adapted to suit your pupils and learning goals.
What ages do you work with?
We primarily work with secondary-aged pupils (11+), with group size, ratios and content agreed during planning.
Do sessions run in all weather?
Sessions run in most weather conditions, as being outdoors is part of the experience. In the event of extreme weather where safety would be compromised, we’ll contact you in advance to discuss options.
What should pupils wear?
Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear suitable for uneven ground. We recommend layers, waterproofs, and clothing that can get a little muddy.
How do you manage safety?
Safety is central to everything we do. All sessions are risk assessed, led by experienced instructors, and delivered with clear boundaries and guidance. Activities are adapted to suit the group, conditions, and environment.

Sessions are led by qualified bushcraft instructors with experience working with school groups. Instructor-to-participant ratios are kept appropriate to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
