Spend a full day in our private woodland developing practical bushcraft skills at a steady, supportive pace.

This course is ideal for those wanting time to build confidence, understanding, and independence in an outdoor setting.

What Happens

The day begins with a welcome and safety briefing before moving into shelter and fire-based skills.

Sessions are hands-on and progressive, allowing time to practise techniques, ask questions, and build familiarity with tools and materials.

Instructors support throughout, stepping back as confidence grows so participants can apply skills independently by the end of the day.

You’ll:

  • Identify and collect suitable wood sustainably

  • Develop safe cutting techniques using bushcraft tools

  • Carve and create useful camp implements

  • Tie versatile knots for shelter and camp use

  • Pitch a hammock and tarp shelter

  • Make reliable feather sticks for tinder

  • Explore multiple fire-lighting methods, including traditional options

  • Tend and control a steady campfire

  • Prepare, ponass, and cook fish over open flames

  • Make bannock bread to cook over the fire

This structured flow builds confidence reliably — each skill prepares you for the next.

Sessions may occasionally vary to make the most of woodland conditions.
