Our Vision
To connect individuals and communities with nature through practical, meaningful outdoor experiences that build confidence, develop skills, and support wellbeing.
At Woodland Roots, we believe practical learning should be purposeful, well run, and thoughtfully delivered. Our work brings people into natural environments and structured workshop settings to develop real-world skills, work together, and build confidence through hands-on experience.
Rooted in woodland bushcraft and outdoor learning, our programmes extend to emergency skills workshops and accredited Outdoor First Aid training — all delivered with the same calm, practical approach.
Who We Are
Woodland Roots is a practical skills and outdoor training provider based near Oswestry, Shropshire. We deliver bushcraft courses, outdoor learning sessions, Mini Medics emergency skills workshops, and recognised Outdoor First Aid training for individuals, groups, schools, and organisations.
Most sessions take place in our private woodland on the Llanforda Estate or at suitable outdoor sites. Certain workshops and professional training courses are delivered in appropriate indoor venues where required.
Everything we offer is designed to be practical, engaging, and professionally led.
