Mini Medics is a practical workshop designed to help young people understand how to respond calmly and confidently in an emergency.

Sessions combine clear instruction with structured, age-appropriate scenarios. The focus is on awareness, responsibility and practical life skills delivered in a supportive and well-managed environment.

What Happens

Each session introduces essential first aid principles before moving into practical, supervised activities.

Participants learn how to:

  • Stay safe and assess a situation

  • Call 999 clearly and confidently

  • Follow the DR ABC approach

  • Perform CPR

  • Understand how an AED is used

  • Place someone in the recovery position

  • Respond to choking

  • Support someone with asthma

  • Manage wounds, bleeding and shock

Short, structured scenarios are woven throughout the session so young people can apply what they have learned in calm and controlled situations.

The workshop concludes with a final scenario-based exercise to consolidate learning and build confidence.
