At Woodland Roots, we offer a small, carefully designed range of outdoor courses and training, led by experienced instructors and delivered in real outdoor environments.

From bushcraft and camp skills to professional outdoor first aid qualifications, every course is hands-on, well run, and thoughtfully delivered.

Courses take place in our private woodland near Oswestry or are delivered at suitable outdoor sites, depending on the course and group.

Bushcraft Courses

Emergency Outdoor First Aid (Level 3)

A one-day outdoor first aid qualification for enthusiasts, volunteers, and those spending time outdoors, focused on managing incidents and emergencies until professional help arrives.

Training covers essential emergency response skills including casualty assessment, CPR, bleeding, shock, and incident management, with learning delivered outdoors wherever possible.

Ofqual-regulated qualification awarded by First Aid Awards Ltd (FAA).

Outdoor First Aid (Level 3)

A comprehensive two-day outdoor first aid qualification for those responsible for others in outdoor and remote environments, where emergency medical assistance may be delayed.

Training focuses on extended casualty care, realistic outdoor scenarios, and decision-making in challenging environments, with learning delivered outdoors wherever possible.

Ofqual-regulated qualification awarded by First Aid Awards Ltd (FAA).
