1. Introduction
At Woodland Roots Ltd, we want you to be happy with your purchase.
This policy explains how we handle returns, exchanges, and refunds for products and gift vouchers purchased through our website or authorised sales channels.
This policy applies only to store purchases.
For course bookings, training, or events, please refer to our Courses & Training Terms and Conditions.
2. Products Covered
This policy applies to items sold through the Woodland Roots online store, including:
Outdoor equipment and accessories
Books, printed resources, and learning materials
Gifts and branded merchandise
Physical gift vouchers
3. Returns – Physical Products
3.1 Eligibility for Returns
You may return a product within 28 days of receiving it, provided that:
The item is unused, unopened, and in its original condition
All original packaging, labels, and components are included
Proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt) is provided
We are unable to accept returns for:
Personalised, customised, or made-to-order items
Perishable or consumable goods (including natural materials with a limited lifespan)
Items damaged through misuse, neglect, or normal wear and tear
3.2 How to Return an Item
To request a return, please email hello@woodlandroots.co.uk with:
Your name and contact details
Your order number or proof of purchase
The item(s) you wish to return and the reason for return
Once approved, we will provide return instructions and a return address.
Unless an item is faulty or incorrect, return postage costs are your responsibility.
4. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
If an item arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.
We may request photographs or further details to help assess the issue.
Where an item is confirmed to be faulty or sent in error, we will offer one of the following:
A replacement (subject to stock availability)
An exchange for an item of equal value
A full refund, including the original delivery charge (where applicable)
In these cases, Woodland Roots Ltd will cover the cost of return postage.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
5. Refunds
Returned items will be inspected upon receipt
We will notify you once your return has been approved or declined
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 7–10 working days
Delivery charges are non-refundable unless the item is faulty or incorrect.
6. Exchanges
We may offer an exchange instead of a refund where appropriate, such as:
Swapping for an alternative product of equal value
Replacing a damaged or faulty item
All exchanges are subject to availability and approval by Woodland Roots Ltd.
7. Gift Vouchers
7.1 Non-Refundable Items
All gift voucher sales are final.
Gift vouchers cannot be:
Refunded (in full or in part)
Exchanged for cash
Replaced if lost, stolen, or expired
7.2 Defective Gift Vouchers
If a gift voucher arrives damaged or defective, please contact hello@woodlandroots.co.uk within 7 days of receipt.
Where appropriate, and subject to proof of purchase, a replacement voucher may be issued.
7.3 Expired Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers must be redeemed within their stated validity period.
Expired vouchers cannot be reactivated or extended, except in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of Woodland Roots Ltd.
8. Returns Authorisation & Packaging
Returns must not be sent without prior authorisation
We will provide the return address once a return is approved
Items must be securely packaged for return
Woodland Roots Ltd cannot accept responsibility for items lost or damaged in transit when being returned.
