SESSION OVERVIEW
Our Family Bushcraft & Archery Adventure offers the ultimate outdoor experience, bringing parents, guardians, and children together for a hands-on day at Treflach Farm.
This combined session gives your family the best of both worlds. Throughout the day, you'll step up to the target range to master archery with expert instruction, as well as learn essential wilderness skills like shelter building, traditional fire lighting, and outdoor campfire cooking. Activities may take place in different orders or zones across the farm base depending on weather and group flow. We keep group sizes small so everyone gets personal instruction and maximum hands-on time throughout the session.
WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE DAY
Target Archery Coaching: Learn foundational stance, draw, and aiming techniques on the target range using recurve bows, ending with fun scoring challenges.
Fire Lighting & Bushcraft Skills: Master spark-based fire lighting techniques using firesteels, tinder, and campfire management.
Shelter Building & Campfire Snacks: Work as a family team to construct shelters, finishing with toasted snacks and drinks cooked right over the campfire.

What to Bring & What to Wear
Clothing: Dress in outdoor clothing suitable for the weather, including waterproof layers and long trousers. Flat, closed-toe footwear (boots, wellies, or sturdy trainers) is mandatory for safety on the archery range and outdoor activity areas.
Avoid: Loose dangling items, scarves, or open shoes (sandals/flip-flops). Long hair must be tied back for archery.
Food & Drink: Please bring a packed lunch and refillable water bottles for your family. We will provide hot campfire drinks and toasted woodland snacks during the session!

What happens if the weather is bad?
We run in most weather conditions. If severe weather like high winds or thunderstorms forces a cancellation, we will contact you to reschedule or issue a refund.
